Sandown is a seaside resort and civil parish located on the south-east coast of the Isle of Wight in England. It serves as the northernmost town of Sandown Bay, which features a continuous stretch of sandy beaches extending from the cliffs below Battery Gardens in the south to Yaverland in the north.
The town has a population of 7,125 according to the 2021 census. However, the three settlements within Sandown Bay form a larger built-up area with more than 20,000 inhabitants. The neighboring resort of Shanklin and the settlement of Lake are situated just to the south of Sandown.
