Romsey is a town and civil parish located in the Test Valley district of Hampshire, England. It is situated approximately 7 miles northwest of Southampton, 11 miles southwest of Winchester, and 17 miles southeast of Salisbury.
The town sits on the outskirts of the New Forest, positioned just over 3 miles northeast of its eastern edge. According to the 2011 census, the population of the parish of Romsey was 14,768.
