Reigate

Reigate is a town located in the county of Surrey, England. It is situated approximately 19 miles (30 km) south of central London.

Historical records indicate that human activity in the area dates back to the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods. During the Roman period, tile-making occurred to the north-east of the modern town center. The settlement was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Cherchefelle, while it first appeared under its current name in the 1190s.
