Rawmarsh is a village located in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham within South Yorkshire, England. Historically, the area was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3 km) north-northeast of the Rotherham town centre and 3 miles (5 km) south-southwest of Swinton.
The village forms part of the Sheffield Urban Area. According to census data, the Rawmarsh ward of Rotherham MBC had a population of 13,389 in 2011. When including other output areas from neighboring wards, the total population for Rawmarsh was recorded at 18,498 in 2011 and 18,535 in 2014.
