Pitsea

United Kingdom

Pitsea is a suburban town located in the eastern part of Basildon in Essex, England. Historically, it existed as a separate village and parish before undergoing significant transformation during the 20th century.

The area remained a small village until the first half of the 1900s, when it began to experience notable plotlands development. In 1949, Pitsea was included in the designated area for the new town of Basildon, leading to further extensive development that integrated the area into the current built-up region of Basildon.
