Peterborough is a cathedral city located in the City of Peterborough district within the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. Situated on the River Nene, the city is positioned approximately 74 miles (119 km) north of London.
As of the 2021 census, the urban area of Peterborough had a population of 192,178. The wider district population was estimated by the Peterborough City Council to be 219,510 in 2023.
