Penzance is a town, civil parish, and port located in Cornwall, England. It is situated in the shelter of Mount's Bay, facing south-east onto the English Channel. The town is positioned approximately 9 miles east of Land's End, 64 miles west-southwest of Plymouth, and 255 miles west-southwest of London.
The parish includes the fishing port of Newlyn as well as the villages of Mousehole, Paul, Gulval, and Heamoor. Penzance railway station serves as the terminus of the Cornish Main Line and holds the distinction of being both the southernmost and westernmost station in England. According to the 2021 census, the population of the parish was 20,734.
