Oldham is a town located in Greater Manchester, England. It is situated on elevated ground within the Pennines, positioned between the rivers Irk and Medlock. Geographically, it lies approximately 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Rochdale and 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Manchester City Centre.
The town serves as the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham. As of 2021, the borough had a recorded population of 242,003 residents.
