Oakham is a market town and civil parish located in the county of Rutland within the East Midlands region of England. It is situated in the Vale of Catmose, positioned west of Rutland Water at an elevation ranging between 325 and 400 feet above sea level.
The town is located approximately 25 miles east of Leicester, 28 miles southeast of Nottingham, and 23 miles northwest of Peterborough. According to the 2021 census, Oakham had a population of 12,149 residents.
