Oadby is a town located in the borough of Oadby and Wigston in Leicestershire, England. It is situated approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) south-east of Leicester along the A6 road. The town had a population of 23,849 as of the 2011 census.
The area features several notable landmarks, including the University of Leicester Botanical Garden and the Leicester Racecourse, which is positioned on the border between Oadby and Stoneygate. Like its neighboring town of Wigston, Oadby is organized into five wards. The Borough of Oadby and Wigston maintains twinning agreements with Maromme in France and Norderstedt in Germany.
