Newburn, also known as Newburn-upon-Tyne, is a village and district located within the city of Newcastle upon Tyne in Tyne and Wear, England. It is situated on the north bank of the River Tyne and is characterized by its position rising up the valley from the river. The area falls under the parliamentary constituency of Newcastle upon Tyne North.

The village is located approximately 5 miles (8 km) from the city centre, 14 miles (23 km) east of Hexham, and 13 miles (21 km) south-southwest of Morpeth. According to census data, the population was recorded at 9,301 in 2001 and increased to 9,536 by the 2011 Census.
