Moreton Jeffries

Moreton Jeffries is a village and civil parish located in the county of Herefordshire, England. It is situated off the A465 between Stoke Lacy and Burley Gate, approximately 8.5 miles (13.7 km) north-east of Hereford. The parish was historically recorded in the Domesday Book as being part of the Radlow Hundred.

The village features a medieval church designated as a Grade II* listed building by English Heritage, which is currently under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. Historically, the location served as the birthplace of Henry 'Harry' Morgan, the founder of the Morgan Motor Company, who was born in the Moreton Jeffries Rectory in 1881. The parish also contains timber merchants and was renamed from "Moreton Jeffreys" to "Moreton Jeffries" between 1961 and 1965.
