Milton Keynes is a city located in Buckinghamshire, England, situated approximately 50 miles (80 km) north-west of London. According to the 2021 census, the population of its urban area was 264,349. The River Great Ouse serves as the northern boundary of the urban area.
The city is characterized by a design that comprises many well-delineated neighbourhoods. Approximately 25% of the urban area consists of woodland or parkland, which includes two Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). The River Ouzel, a tributary, meanders through these linear parks and balancing lakes.
