Melton Mowbray is a market town situated in the Melton district of Leicestershire, England. It is located approximately 19 miles (31 km) north-east of Leicester and 20 miles (32 km) south-east of Nottingham. The town sits on the River Eye, which is locally referred to as the Wreake.

The town has a population of 27,670 as of 2019. It is recognized for its culinary associations and is sometimes promoted as Britain's "Rural Capital of Food." Notably, Melton Mowbray is the home of the Melton Mowbray pork pie and serves as one of only six licensed locations for the production of Stilton cheese.
