Meltham

Meltham is a town and civil parish located within the Metropolitan Borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It is situated in the Holme Valley, positioned below Wessenden Moor and approximately five miles south-west of Huddersfield. The area lies on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

According to census data, the population of the civil parish has remained relatively stable over recent decades. In 2001, the population was recorded at 8,089, with an estimate of 8,600 by 2005 and a count of 8,534 in 2011. As of the 2021 Census, there were 8,590 people living in 3,695 households within the parish.
