Mappleton is a village and civil parish located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated along the North Sea coastline within an area known as Holderness, positioned approximately 3 miles (5 km) south of the seaside resort of Hornsea.
The civil parish consists of the village of Mappleton along with the hamlets of Cowden, Great Cowden, and Rolston. According to the 2011 UK census, the parish had a population of 342, marking an increase from the 249 residents recorded in the 2001 census.
