Lynemouth is a village located in the county of Northumberland, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Ashington and lies near the village of Ellington to its northwest.
The settlement was historically established in close proximity to coal mines, most notably the Lynemouth Colliery.
