Longsight is an inner city area located in Manchester, England. It is situated approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Manchester's city centre and serves as a residential and urban district within the Greater Manchester metropolitan area.
The neighborhood is bounded by Ardwick and West Gorton to the north and east, Levenshulme to the south, and Chorlton-on-Medlock, Victoria Park, and Fallowfield to the west. Historically, the area was part of Lancashire. According to the 2011 census, Longsight had a population of 15,429 residents.
