Longhorsley

Longhorsley is a village located in Northumberland, England. It is situated approximately 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Morpeth and about 14 miles (23 km) south of Alnwick. The village is bordered to the north by the River Coquet.

The A697 road passes through Longhorsley, providing a transport link between Morpeth, Wooler, and Coldstream in Scotland. Historically, the village was comprised of three separate townships known as Bigges Quarter, Freeholders Quarter, and Riddells Quarter. The settlement currently consists of eight streets: Whitegates, Church View, Drummonds Close, South Road, West Road, East Road, Reivers Gate, and Wilding Place.
