Long Eaton is a town located in the Erewash district of Derbyshire, England. It is situated just north of the River Trent, positioned approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) south-west of Nottingham and 9 miles (14 km) south-east of Derby.
The town has been part of the Erewash borough since April 1, 1974, following the disbandment of the Long Eaton Urban District. According to the 2011 census, the population of the town was 37,760.
