Lamesley

Lamesley is a village and civil parish located in the Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead, within the county of Tyne and Wear, England. Situated on the southern outskirts of Gateshead near Birtley, the parish had a population of 3,742 according to the 2011 census.

The parish encompasses several areas, including Kibblesworth, Lamesley village, Eighton Banks, and Northside. The area of Birtley consists primarily of private housing in neighborhoods such as The Hollys, Long Bank, Northdene, and Crathie. Additionally, the ruined Ravensworth Castle is located within the parish.
