Kingston upon Hull, commonly known as Hull, is a port city and unitary authority area located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the River Hull at its confluence with the Humber Estuary, positioned approximately 25 miles (40 km) inland from the North Sea.
The city is characterized by a tightly bounded boundary that excludes the majority of its suburbs. As of 2024, the city has a population of 275,401, making it the fourth-largest city in the Yorkshire and the Humber region.
