The town's main retail thoroughfare is London Road, which transitions into Hounslow High Street. Located only a few hundred metres from its westernmost point is the Treaty Centre shopping centre. There are no physical signs marking this boundary, which reflects the historical fact that Isleworth originally contained the eastern portion of Hounslow.
