Hutton Magna is a village and civil parish located in County Durham, England. It is situated approximately 7.6 miles (12.2 km) southeast of Barnard Castle.
The village lies within the historic boundaries of the North Riding of Yorkshire. While it was formerly part of the Startforth Rural District, Hutton Magna has been administered by County Durham since April 1, 1974, following the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972. The civil parish also encompasses the hamlet of Lane Head.
