Hessle is a town and civil parish located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Situated approximately 5 miles west of Kingston upon Hull, it sits on the north bank of the Humber Estuary at the location where the Humber Bridge crosses the water.
While Hessle is geographically part of a larger urban area that includes the city of Kingston upon Hull and several surrounding villages, it remains distinct and is not officially part of the city itself.
