Heavitree is a historic village and former civil parish located in Devon, England. It was situated outside the walls of the City of Exeter and served as the first significant village outside the city on the road to London.
Today, Heavitree is an eastern district of the city of Exeter. The area is notable for being the birthplace of the theologian Richard Hooker and the librarian Thomas Bodley. Additionally, from the 16th century until 1818, the site served as a location for executions; this area now comprises the car park of the St Luke's Campus of the University of Exeter.
