Grimsby, also known as Great Grimsby, is a port town situated in the county of Lincolnshire, England. It is located near the mouth on the south bank of the Humber estuary, which flows into the North Sea. The town has a population of 86,138 and adjoins the town of Cleethorpes to its south-east, forming a conurbation.
The town serves as the administrative center for the borough of North East Lincolnshire. Together with North Lincolnshire, this area is officially part of the Yorkshire and the Humber region. Geographically, Grimsby is positioned approximately 45 miles north-east of Lincoln, 33 miles south-east of Hull, and 50 miles east of Doncaster.
