Greenwich is an affluent area located in south-east London, England. It falls within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the ceremonial county of Greater London, situated approximately 5.5 miles (8.9 km) east-south-east of Charing Cross.
The area is notable for containing Maritime Greenwich, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
