Faversham is a market town located in the county of Kent, England. It is situated approximately 48 miles (77 km) from London and 10 miles (16 km) from Canterbury. The town lies next to the Swale, which is a strip of sea that separates mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary.
The town is positioned near the A2 road, which follows an ancient British trackway known as Watling Street. This historic route was utilized by both the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons. Faversham is also located about 8 miles (13 km) from Sittingbourne.
