Farnham is a market town and civil parish located in the county of Surrey, England. It is situated approximately 36 miles (58 km) southwest of London within the Borough of Waverley, near the border with Hampshire.
The town is positioned on the north branch of the River Wey, which is a tributary of the Thames, and sits at the western end of the North Downs. The civil parish encompasses 14.1 square miles (37 km2) and includes the villages of Badshot Lea, Hale, and Wrecclesham.
According to 2011 census data, the population of the civil parish was 39,488.
