Elland

Elland is a market town located in Calderdale, within the county of West Yorkshire, England. It is situated south of Halifax and lies along the River Calder and the Calder and Hebble Navigation.

The town's historical records date back to at least 1086, when it was recorded as Elant in the Domesday Book. According to census data, Elland had a population of 14,554 in 2001, while the specific ward measured 11,676 during the 2011 Census.
