Eastbourne is a town and seaside resort located in the county of East Sussex in South East England. It is situated approximately 19 miles east of Brighton and 54 miles south of London.
The town is positioned immediately east of Beachy Head, which is recognized as the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain and forms part of the larger Eastbourne Downland Estate. Administratively, Eastbourne functions as a local government district with borough status.
