Dorking

Dorking is a market town located in the county of Surrey in South East England. It is situated approximately 21 miles (34 km) south-west of London within the Mole Valley District. The local council headquarters are positioned to the east of the town centre.

The geography of the town is defined by its proximity to the Surrey Hills National Landscape, which borders it on three sides. Notable nearby landmarks include Box Hill and Leith Hill. The High Street runs roughly east–west, following the path of the Pipp Brook and the northern face of an outcrop of Lower Greensand.
