Disley is a village and civil parish located in Cheshire, England. It is situated on the edge of the Peak District within the Goyt Valley, positioned south of Stockport and near the county boundary with Derbyshire at New Mills.
The village maintains a semi-rural character while serving as a commuter town. According to the 2011 Census, its population was 4,294. Notable geographical features include the River Goyt and the Peak Forest Canal, which opened in 1800, both of which pass along the northern edge of the village.
