Dartford is the principal town within the Borough of Dartford, located in the county of Kent, England. Situated approximately 18 miles (29 km) south-east of Central London, it shares a western border with the London Borough of Bexley and lies to the east of the district of Sevenoaks.
The town is positioned adjacent to the Thames Estuary, which separates it from Thurrock in Essex to the north. This area is connected via the Dartford Crossing. As of 2018, the population of Dartford was recorded at 51,240.
