Congleton is a market town and civil parish located in the borough of Cheshire East within the county of Cheshire, England. It is situated on the River Dane, positioned approximately 21 miles (34 km) south of Manchester and 13 miles (21 km) north of Stoke-on-Trent.
According to the 2021 census, the town's built-up area had a population of 30,005 residents, while the parish itself recorded a population of 28,497.
