Churchill is a city located in the United Kingdom.
The name Churchill is most notably associated with Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, a prominent British statesman, military officer, and writer. He served as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War, and again from 1951 to 1955.
During his career between 1900 and 1964, Churchill served as a Member of Parliament for five different constituencies. He was an adherent to economic liberalism and imperialism, spending much of his political life as a member of the Conservative Party, which he led from 1940 to 1955, though he was also a member of the Liberal Party from 1904 to 1924.
