Chorley is a town and the administrative centre of the wider Borough of Chorley located in Lancashire, England. It is situated approximately 12 miles south of Preston, 11 miles northwest of Bolton, and 20 miles northwest of Manchester.
Historically, the town's wealth was derived principally from the cotton industry. As of 2020, Chorley had a population of 36,682 residents.
