Chingford is a suburban town located in east London, England, within the London Borough of Waltham Forest. It is situated in the Lea Valley, approximately 9.5 miles north-east of Charing Cross.
The town is geographically positioned between the River Lea to the west and Epping Forest to the north and east. It shares borders with Waltham Abbey to the north, Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, and Woodford to the east, Walthamstow to the south, and Edmonton and Enfield to the west. As of the 2021 census, Chingford had a population of approximately 70,583.
