Chessington is an area located within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in Greater London, United Kingdom. Historically, the region was part of the county of Surrey. According to the 2011 census, the area had a population of 18,973 residents.
The geography of Chessington is characterized by the Bonesgate Stream, which serves as a tributary of the Hogsmill River and runs through the area. The south-west portion of the district is home to the popular theme park resort known as Chessington World of Adventures, which also incorporates the Chessington Zoo.
