Caterham is a town located in the Tandridge district of Surrey, England. It is situated in an upper valley formed by the dip slope of the North Downs, positioned approximately 6 miles south of Croydon and 21 miles from Guildford. The town lies near the A22 road.
The town is administratively divided into two distinct areas: Caterham on the Hill and Caterham Valley. Caterham Valley contains the main town centre, which sits in the middle of a dry valley that rises to equal heights toward the south. Caterham on the Hill is situated above the valley to the west.
