Canvey Island is a town, civil parish, and island located in the Thames Estuary. It forms part of the Castle Point district within the county of Essex, England. The island covers an area of approximately 7.12 square miles (18.44 km2).
The island is geographically separated from the mainland of south Essex by a network of creeks, though it remains accessible via several bridges connecting it to the mainland. According to the 2021 census, the parish had a population of 38,327, with 38,010 residents living within the built-up area.
