Burgess Hill is a town and civil parish located in West Sussex, England. It is situated near the border with East Sussex on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The town is positioned approximately 39 miles (63 km) south of London, 10 miles (16 km) north of Brighton and Hove, and 29 miles (47 km) northeast of Chichester.
According to the 2011 Census, Burgess Hill had an area of 3.7 square miles (9.6 km²) and a population of 30,635. These figures made it the most populous parish in the Mid Sussex District and the fourth most populous parish in the county of West Sussex. Nearby towns include Haywards Heath to the northeast and Lewes to the southeast.
