Brierley Hill is a town and electoral ward situated in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley within the West Midlands region of England. It is located approximately three miles south of Dudley and one mile north of Stourbridge, forming part of the industrial area known as the Black Country.
The town was historically characterized by its heavy industrial activity, specifically glass and steel manufacturing, though these industries have seen a significant decline since the 1970s. A notable landmark in the area's industrial history is the Round Oak Steelworks; after closing down, it was redeveloped in the 1980s into the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
According to the 2011 census, Brierley Hill had a population of 13,935. Since 2008, the town has held the designation of the Strategic Town Centre for the Dudley Borough.
