Bishopthorpe

Bishopthorpe is a village and civil parish located in the City of York unitary authority area within the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately three miles south of the city of York and lies close to the River Ouse.

The village has a population that was recorded at 3,174, increasing to 3,237 according to the 2011 Census. In 1989, several areas of the village were designated as a conservation area, specifically including Main Street, the Palace, and various other open spaces.
