Askham Richard is a village and civil parish located in the north of England within the unitary authority of the City of York. It is situated approximately 6.5 miles (10.5 km) south-west of York, positioned near the locations of Copmanthorpe, Bilbrough, and Askham Bryan.
The village was designated as a Conservation Area in 1975. According to the 2011 census, the population of the civil parish was 351. The nearby Askham Bryan College of Agriculture is one of the notable landmarks in the vicinity.
