Arlesey is a town and civil parish located in the Central Bedfordshire district of Bedfordshire, England. It is situated near the border with Hertfordshire, positioned approximately three miles north-west of Letchworth Garden City, four miles north of Hitchin, and six miles south of Biggleswade.
The town's name is derived from the phrase "island of a man named Aelfric." Historical records indicate that Arlesey was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The area is served by Arlesey railway station, which provides transport services to London, Stevenage, and Peterborough.
