Amesbury

Amesbury is a town and civil parish located in Wiltshire, England. It is historically significant as it is claimed to be the oldest occupied settlement in Great Britain, with initial settlement dating back to approximately 8820 BC.

The parish is most notably known for containing the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge. Geographically, the area includes the hamlets of Ratfyn and West Amesbury, as well as a portion of the Boscombe Down military airfield.
