Aldershot is a town located in the Rushmoor district of Hampshire, England. It is situated on heathland in the extreme north-east corner of the county, approximately 31 miles (50 km) south-west of London.
The town has a population of 40,160. It forms part of the Aldershot Urban Area, a loose conurbation that includes other towns such as Camberley and Farnborough. This urban area has a total population of 243,344, making it the thirtieth-largest urban area in the United Kingdom.
