Acklington

Acklington is a small village located in Northumberland, England. It is situated inland from the North Sea coast and lies to the south-west of Amble.

The name Acklington originates from Anglo-Saxon Old English, meaning "farmstead of Eadlac's people." The village is served by its own railway station, Acklington railway station.
